A Look At The Glorious Artworks From “The Last Of Us”

GamingBolt has put up released beautiful artwork of The Last of Us up on their website. The artworks depict the broken environments of the post-apocalyptic world in which the game will take in. The lives of Ellie and Joel are also showcased through them.

I really, really love the one with both of them having a laugh around the campfire because you can tell that this probably won’t happen much during the game itself. It’s also rather rare that artworks depicting some sort of a relaxed and light moment are available or shown in a post-apocalyptic survival game. Hopefully this scene will make itself into the game and leave a lasting impression on gamers.

“Zone of The Enders” HD Remaster On The PS3 & PS Vita

One of my favourite game designers, Hideo Kojima, took the stage today at Sony’s Pre-TGS conference to announce the HD remaster edition of Zone of The Enders, another one of my favourite games on the PS3 and PS Vita.

It’s set to be released in 2012 and will make use of the new Kojima Fox Engine’s Transfarring, which will allow cross gameplay, as well as transfer of save game data between the PS3 and PS Vita.

Premiere Trailer for “Modern Warfare 3” Multiplayer Goes Boom

The highest selling and most famous shooter franchise in the world has brought the first trailer for the multiplayer that sells most of its copies. With that being said, Michael Bay should get a credit on this trailer because I haven’t seen this many explosions since watching Transformers.

Modern Warfare 3 will be released on November 8, 2011 for PS3, 360 and PC.

Slowly but surely, Marvel is adding fuel to the hype machine fire for Joss Whedon’s upcoming The Avengers film, post-Summer blockbusters. Today they released a new promo art consisting of the film’s main cast of heroes.

NDP leader Jack Layton loses battle with cancer
NDP leader of the opposition Jack Layton has died just weeks after announcing a new cancer fight and mere months after bringing his party to an astounding result in the 2011 election.

In a statement issued this morning, his wife, Toronto NDP MP Olivia Chow and his family announced his passing at 4:45 a.m. Monday morning. “He passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family and loved ones,” Ms. Chow and Jack’s children Sarah and Toronto city councillor Mike Layton said. I am so shook up about this. Jack Layton inspired an entire generation to vote! What a tragedy for our country.

Free DLC coming to Portal 2 Next Month

Valve will finally be releasing the first bit of DLC for Portal 2. Yeah, you remember that DLC that was to be released this summer? That one.

Well, according to Valve’s marketing VP, Doug Lombardi (speaking to Kotaku at Gamescom), the DLC will be launching mid-September, which is “still technically summer” since fall doesn’t start until September 21.

What comes with the DLC is still kinda unknown. When it was announced, leaderboards, new test chambers, and a “Challenge Mode” were all mentioned.

Anyway, the DLC will be available for free and will be available on PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
