Black Ops Enlists Romero, Gellar, Trejo, Rooker, and Englund For Zombie Duty

In a surprising turn, Treyarch, developers of Call of Duty: Black Ops, have enlisted the help of many nerds’ zombie slaying dreams. The new “Escalation” Map Pack, set for release on May 3rd for Xbox 360, will include the new Nazi Zombie slaying scenario of Call of the Dead. What makes this scenario so special is who players will be playing as.

First up, George Romero, best known for creating Night of the Living Dead and effectively popularizing zombies, will be apart of the mode in some capacity and the entire scenario has been “inspired” by his works. The truly exciting twist is that the playable characters that you will be starring as are Danny Trejo (Machete), Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Robert Englund (Nightmare on Elm Street) and Michael Rooker (The Walking Dead).

The map seems to be the ship that the Nova Gas was on in the single player campaign and it also appears that there will be new attacks, weapons and zombie types from the look of the video but nothing specific was announced. All we can do now is enjoy the wonderful teaser for two weeks.

This video is ridiculous. And awesome. I’m ready for it… (in 5 weeks when they release it on PSN)
