I think I am back… I just have wayyy too much shit to write.
Oh, and if you didn’t understand that last thing bit after my Aunt dying bit.
Well… some other thing happened within the family. Something really bad. I can’t explain it. But in short, we’re staying strong about it. I can’t talk about it here, or even talk about it to people outside the family. So… yeah. It’s heartbreaking to everyone in the family. So, I’d rather not say.
For a period of 2 weeks, I didn’t show on the outside that I was hurting. But truly, I was.
In a sense, I lost two people in my life 2 weeks ago. My aunt who lived in Minnesota, died. Though she was already gravely ill for the past 1-2 weeks prior. And when my parents were down there during Thanksgiving Weekend, we were told that she might pass within the next week or so. To those who gave thoughts, prayers and the like. I thank you. Deeply I do. Now I myself, didn’t really talk or really have my aunt close in my life, she was on my dad’s side of the family. And only really saw her over a good amount of time, about 5 times in my life. My first was probably around 1996, when our entire family did the Atlanta Trip, we stopped at our aunt’s place in Minnesota to catch up and afterwords to Mall of America (my first and only time there thus far), then continued our trip downwards to Atlanta. I would say, at one point or another these past weeks, I regret not being so close to my aunt from Minnesota, as I am with all my other aunts around North America. But if I was closer with her, I would be more saddened than I was during these weeks. So, all I’ll say is this.
R.I.P Tita Belen (Aunt Belen for the english folk)
Now to my other thing. When I made those audio posts 2 weeks ago… I explained that I was on a hill in a field… I was only there because prior to that, I was at home, and my cousin explained the family situation (this was before my aunt died, about 2 days prior). This is situation that occurred, just didn’t sit well with me at all. After a brief silence after the explaination… I had to get out of there… get some air. So I got my sweater and just left for a walk. All I played was the angriest music on my phone I have. Mostly Justice, but I varied. During to the walk to the hill, I tried thinking of ways on how to explain this to you guys, the tumblr app doesn’t give you much time for an audio post (30 seconds)… that’s why I had to split it into 4 parts. I stood on that hill for 20 minutes after posting those audio posts. It just didn’t sit well with me at all. After I left, apparently my brother left for a drive, I guess he couldn’t take it as well. It still bothers me now, this situation of ours… but I know this will pass. But not for a long time.
Now, I say “Return?” for a reason… I don’t know if this haitus is over. I’ve still got a lot to look over. In my family, myself and my friends…
I have been lurking tumblr these past couple of weeks, and a couple may have noticed a message or two here or there. But other than that. No activity has been made, no reblogs/likes/etc. I want to carry on with this tumblr name I made… but for some reason, my mind is telling me to change it, or delete this tumblr all together and start a new one under a new name.
But I have a lot of stuff to post. I don’t think I want to change.
More of “The Noms” Series
More stupid ranting.
More dumb posts.
100% Strange Quality.
Just the big question remains unanswered,
Am I coming back?
I sure hope so. Because lurking is boring. (And just using twitter and facebook is boring too)
Comprhensive Point-Form Review of: Dead Rising 2 (PS3)
I just finished the game a couple hours ago (last night, I’m in front of the last boss in overtime mode), I still have Overtime Mode to do. But End Credits were hit before that. So, I’ll take care of this first.
Shooting Mechanic has improved from DS1… you controlled your aim with the left stick. (THE LEFT STICK! D:). Now it’s the right stick how it’s supposed to be.
The timing of the main missions and the sub-missions aren’t too bad. Sometimes you get fooled for some missions. Either it could be “Get to that area, when notified to” kind of mission. Or “finish that missions before that timer runs out” type. It doesn’t usually tell you. The sub-missions come at your at different points when running around, or is case-specific, like this mission will only pop up somewhere between Case 2-4 (example).
Capcom is obviously targetting 18+ men in this game, since there are random Playboy Covers around the mall, and some of the sequences with the female characters are suggestive. I found it kind of dumb.
Story, ehh… ok. If you’ve played DS1, you’ll recognize some names mentioned (Frank West, Isabella). If you played Case Zero (Xbox 360 Exclusive), you’ll get why Chuck is in Fortune City. Other than those, yeah story… it makes sense somethings. Others… don’t.
Graphics… are not the greatest, there’s a bunch of clipping sometimes. But there’s millions of zombies in one area at a time, of course there’s some limits to the graphics. But that’s still impressive that Capcom pushes the limits on how many AIs are on screen at a time. It’s amazing. There’s also a bit of graphic tearing. Load Times are ok. Everything is good. Just looks like an early current-gen game, with current-gen technology.
Gameplay. Crazy awesome fun. Creating combos of weapons. Chainsaw Kayak Paddles? LMG equipped robot Teddybears? Electrical Wheelchair? A laser sword made from a flashlight and gems. It’s so random, yet so awesome. Zombie killing is also always a plus. Co-Op I have yet to try. Multiplayer is pretty cool too, and you can use the money from Multiplayer, to use in your singleplayer. Which I really like. A good mechanic there.
All in all, it’s a solid game. Not game of the year, but solid regardless. If you just want good clean (messy), zombie killing fun. Dead Rising 2. Good stuff.
I’m inching from opening the door to the last boss of overtime until… Suddenly cinematic… The boss kills the hostages, game over.
Gahhhhhh!!! Fuck you!
So I had to go back a save all the way back to 2 items ago, which I have to retrieve for the boss. I get them, go to the closest savepoint with time to spare and thought I can do it. Then I fell asleep, noticed the game over screen again and just said “screw this, I’m going back to sleep.” so now I’m in bed, then started typing his out. Dumbdumbdumbdumb.
Ok, so my cousin just recently got a job at the Play ‘N Trade at NorthGate. Working on repairing Xboxs/PS3/Wiis and also networking the place and as well as security setup.
The Play ‘N Trade is affiliated with PNP Games, but is apparently a franchise across North America, obviously not as big as EB Games/Gamestop but a franchise nonetheless.
So, my cousin then offered me something, that he’ll try to get me a job at the PNT as well. It’d be great for me because I’d love working at a video game store since I’d put my knowledge to good use as well.
I could work PNT in the Morning and Safeway at night. It works out perfectly.
The only downside to all of this. I won’t be able to play so many games. But the goodside.
Taking advantage of the long weekend. My parents, my aunt, and my cousin went to Minneapolis to visit my other aunt in the hospital. She’s very sick right now, and it doesn’t look good for her, she’s been in the hospital for about 2-3 weeks now, and they had to take this opportunity now to visit.
So, with basically ALL of the cooks out of the house and in the immediate family. We’ve resorted to meager cooking. Brunches of Smokies and Eggs are usually the highlight of the morning. And last night was Lasagna. Tonight was, as pictured earlier.
They’re coming back tonight, but apparently they should have been here two hours ago…
I’m thinking it’s a very somber mood in the ride back right now. :\
For those who pray, pray for my aunt. For those who give thoughts, give thoughts to my aunt, because I know I will.
